Terms of Service

By creating an account, signing in, or using any part of the Service, you confirm you are at least 13 years old and that you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept either, do not use the Service.

POMQuiz provides curriculum-aligned multiple-choice quizzes, an AI study coach, a schedule planner, progress analytics, and async peer duels. Access is invite-only and requires admin approval. Some features may use third-party large-language-model providers under a zero-data-retention policy (see the Privacy Policy for details).

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Don't share your account, and don't sign in to someone else's account without their explicit permission. You agree to provide accurate information when prompted (name, cohort, etc.) and to keep it current.

We use Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or an email-and-password flow reserved for App Review demo access. We do not create accounts on your behalf.

You agree NOT to:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, dox, or abuse any other user (including in Duels, in your chosen handle, or anywhere else in the Service).
• Impersonate any person, institution, or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
• Post or transmit content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, deceptive, or designed to mislead or manipulate other users.
• Attempt to access another user's data, account, or session, or to bypass any security or rate-limiting controls.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract content from the Service (including quiz questions, answer rationales, and AI Coach responses).
• Use the Service to train a competing model or product, or to build a derivative quiz bank.
• Submit malicious code, attempt to inject instructions into AI features, or otherwise interfere with the Service.
• Use the Service in any way that violates an applicable law, regulation, or your school's academic-integrity policy.

We may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts that we determine, in our sole discretion, violate this section.

Some surfaces let you contribute content visible to other users:

• Your handle in Duels.
• Optional feedback messages you send us.
• Your participation in duels, including any challenge message you attach to a duel invitation.

By submitting content, you confirm it does not violate Section 4 and you grant POMQuiz a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content to operate the Service.

You retain ownership of your content. Deleting your account removes the personal contents above as described in the Privacy Policy.

We take zero-tolerance approach to objectionable content and abusive users. If you encounter a handle, message, or duel participant that violates Section 4:

• Email a description and any relevant details (handle, time, screenshot) to support@pomquiz.com. We aim to triage reports within 24 hours.
• We will investigate every report we receive. Confirmed violations result in handle resets, feature suspensions, or full account termination, depending on severity.

Cohort administrators may also moderate handles and remove offending accounts at their discretion within their cohort.

POMQuiz uses third-party large-language-model providers to generate quizzes, schedule plans, and AI Coach responses. Output is produced automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or unintended content. You should review and verify any AI output against authoritative sources before relying on it.

AI features are explicitly scoped to medical-education study assistance. They are not designed to provide diagnostic, treatment, or clinical decision-making advice. If you ask an AI feature for clinical or diagnostic guidance about a real patient or your own health, it will redirect you to a healthcare provider, and you should heed that redirection.

POMQuiz is for medical-education purposes only. It is not a substitute for clinical judgment, professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the Service should be construed as creating a doctor-patient relationship or as offering personalized clinical guidance. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for clinical decisions.

The Service, including its design, code, quiz content (other than user-submitted content), curriculum mappings, brand, and AI-generated responses, is owned by or licensed to POMQuiz. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own medical-education study.

You may not copy, redistribute, publicly display, sell, sub-license, or create derivative works from the Service or its content, except where local law gives you a non-waivable right to do so. Sharing answer keys or rationales outside of authorized study use violates this section.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account from your profile page, which immediately revokes your access and removes your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected violations of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, POMQuiz, its contributors, and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenues, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which is $0 for free accounts) or (b) CAD $50.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted on the Updates page and reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after the change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the changes, stop using the Service and delete your account.
